I‘ve always been a huge fan of the breakfast classics: pancakes, eggs, bacon, and the works!
Of course, as yummy as breakfast food is on its own, it only gets better when you put a twist on it.
Plenty of the most delicious morning-time foods are just begging to be adapted into savory meals suitable for any time of the day or night, like this classic coffee bread turned into a perfect dinner side.
And if any food is ripe for an update, it’s the waffle. With a history dating back to at least medieval France and Belgium, it’s been around for centuries, but it’s best known these days as a semisweet cake, often topped with maple syrup, fruit, or even ice cream.
These days, it’s about time it gets its turn on the center stage as the main course at dinner!
Fortunately, there’s a genius recipe perfectly suited to turning the waffle from a basic breakfast into a dinnertime feast for the ages: Cornbread Waffles with Pulled Pork!
