Golden, cheesy, and ooey-gooey, this sandwich has been a staple in the kitchen for so long because it takes absolutely no effort to make.
Personally, my favorite grilled cheeses are always served in the mornings, and almost always filled with bacon, like this juicy egg-in-a-hole grilled cheese.
But that was before I realized that there was a variety of other grilled cheese recipes that made excellent use of fresh, colorful ingredients!

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 1/2 Tbsps. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
2 slices of bread
Havarti cheese, sliced
In a small skillet, combine blueberries, brown sugar, and balsamic vinegar. Use a fork to crush the berries as you stir.
Turn on medium heat and let it come to a slow boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
In another pan, heat butter to brown the bread.
Top with cheese, spinach, and blueberry spread.
Top with more cheese, and close sandwich. Toast well on both sides until cheese has melted.
Serve hot and enjoy!
